Please note: Sian Simba is a “combo lodge” and is situated in the Zambezi National Park, close to Victoria Falls. Activities include excellent game viewing and fishing and we fish in a section of the Zambezi that we also use for our Vic Falls day fishing activities. We know the fishing is good however due to the rivers rocky structure (its not the Barotse) it is not known for “trophy” sized tigers.

Upper Zambezi River Levels
There is talk that the river is low, yes it is, the same as it ever is at this time of the year. We call it low water season. There was definitely a lower rainfall in Southern Africa this last season but there has been no impact on summer season fishing as per recent reports back from the lodge owners. This last graph below shows the receding level for this time of the year, note September – November, same as it ever was. |

Our focus early 2025 will be new lodge launches as we are in discussions with lodge owners on the Zimbabwean side of the Zambezi. Our mission is to offer our valued clients a choice of destinations. We personally ensure that all lodges, boats, guides, food are up to scratch and we know fishing trips (even at the affordable level we offer) have to make the grade. Yes experiencing/testing new product is part of our job that brings on a bit of “ma-jelas” but we do it with passion! |
